Anchor Your Heart in God’s Love with We the Kingdom

Ed Cash, from We the Kingdom (WTK) contemporary Christian music band told FLR, “We should anchor our heart in the all-powerful, all-knowing, sovereign Lord and trust Him with all our hearts.” What a profound statement to serve as a compass for navigating life’s stormy seas. So, how can you live this out in your own life?

But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never be shaken.

– Psalm 33:11 TLB

“To anchor your heart in God” means to trust in His sovereignty, regardless of your circumstances. This trust is not passive but involves actively surrendering your worries, doubts and fears to Him. It is to accept that even though you may not understand why things happen as they do, you believe in His goodness and love for you.

When life feels uncertain or overwhelming, remember God’s ways are higher and His plans are better.

God is your omnipotent, omniscient and sovereign Lord (Psalm 33:11). Nothing takes Him by surprise. His plans are unshakable. When life feels uncertain or overwhelming, remember God’s ways are higher and His plans are better.

As God’s child, you’re in the hands of the all-powerful, all-knowing and sovereign Father, who loves you unconditionally.

Today’s One Thing

Practice surrender with daily, intentional moments where you consciously surrender your worries, doubts and fears to God. Each time your mind drifts to a problem, acknowledge that you trust Him with every aspect of your life. This might be difficult at times, but it’s a powerful way to anchor your heart in God’s sovereignty.
