Fresh Start

Isn’t it refreshing, especially during the spring months, when you can enjoy the warmth of the sun shining down on your face as you turn toward the sky? The warmth feels good and momentarily there is a gratifying peace as you soak in the sun’s rays and breathe deeply.

And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning, the sixth day.
─ Genesis 1:31 ESV

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth and all that is within it.
He provides daily miracles and brief glimpses for you to see and experience Him and His creation. Perhaps it’s the sun’s warmth on your face, the appearance of a colorful butterfly or the beauty of a majestic landscape. Each encounter reminds you He is all-powerful, all-knowing and present everywhere. And it is very good.

Unfortunately, the world’s distractions can overshadow these divine glimpses you experience. These distractions can include, but are not limited to, your work, family, social media, bills, friends, household duties, yard maintenance, phone calls and emails. Several of these items are responsibilities that need your attention, while others are full-on distractions and deter you from real priorities.

God created you to love Him and demonstrate that love through faith, prayerful conversation and praise.

Each day you can experience God’s creation and prioritize your time to include Him in all your actions. Prioritizing your daily items allows you to focus on His guidance and directions. It also gives you an opportunity for prayerful conversations.

When you wake up, praise the Lord for the day He has provided you, and ask Him to help prioritize your daily task list according to the Spirit’s leading.
