God-fidence (God + Confidence)

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

God-fidence (God + Confidence)

After the year we’ve had across the globe, an entire year of uncertainty, it’s easy to lose confidence in things we’ve trusted our entire lifetime. The world looks and feels completely different.

But you can hold fast to hope with “God-fidence,” an assurance that God alone will never fail you. God began to work for you when Jesus died on the cross to build a bridge so you could find your way back to the Father. God’s work in you started the moment you believed in Christ.

God’s work continues throughout your lifetime and will not be complete until you see Him face-to-face. In our verse today, Paul expressed “God-fidence” as he proclaimed his certainty, his trust and full confidence that God will never stop His work until Jesus returns.

Today’s One Thing

When you face trouble, feel discouraged or even feel stuck, remind yourself of Paul’s words. Thank God today for his promise and be confident God will complete the work he began in his perfect time.
