God Has the Plans for Your Faith Project

For nothing will be impossible with God.

─ Luke 1:37 KJV

Things don’t always go according to plan, unless of course, it’s God’s divine plan. When we set out to build anything, it’s important to have a clear idea of what the finished piece will look like, what purpose it will serve and how it operates. That can prove difficult sometimes when we build something by faith because we don’t always have the whole picture in front of us. God, our creative director, is often the only one who knows what the finished project looks like.

When God asks us to move toward Him in faith, it involves putting our faith to work. No matter how many times we’ve accomplished something by faith, the next new project requires trust in Him to accomplish it. It’s natural to hope and expect that things will work out a certain way. We just naturally build a picture of what we think it will be like in our hearts.

So, when we don’t see the results in the way we imagined, or it doesn’t come together in the timeline we proposed, we often need to adjust our expectations and release the outcome to Him. Remember, although it looks different, we’re working with God and He has the project plans before Him, even when we don’t.

Today’s One Thing

What are you working with God on today?

Does it look different than you thought it would?

Trust that God might have something that looks differently, but it can be better than you imagined. Take a deep breath and let go.
