Healthy Routines

Productive daily routines are good for you, especially those enhancing your spiritual, physical and emotional well-being and growth. Then, other routines have conditioned you to be grounded within a pattern of behavior that is unhealthy, dull or unproductive. The latter routines (proverbial ruts) could cause you inwardly to feel a lack of purpose and value.

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
─ Colossians 3:23-24 ESV

Be encouraged; you are valuable! Christ came so you never need to live without a sense of purpose. He wants you to thrive everywhere you go and in whatever you do. He desires for you to work as though you are serving Him directly.

You can pursue a healthier life, overcoming the ruts by acknowledging the unhealthy routine and asking the Holy Spirit to:

  1. Fill you with His purpose and plan, bolstering your excitement and energy.
  2. Guard your mind against the enemy’s attempt to plant seeds of doubt and insecurity.
  3. Strengthen your faith to step out of your rut and into healthier routines by creating new challenges and healthy habits.

Whatever you do, work unto the Lord and know He enjoys seeing your faithful efforts and successes.

Christ came so you can have life more abundantly. This doesn’t focus on financial wealth, but rather a purpose, a sense of drive and an honorable and godly lifestyle as you follow Him.

Grasp God’s authority and say farewell to any insecurity or lack of purpose in your life, and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with a sense of meaningful intentions.

Today’s One Thing
If you are wondering about your sense of purpose, pray for the Lord to reveal new healthy routines to pursue, and trust in the Lord to disclose a new purpose.
