His Light Dissipates Darkness

The presence of darkness cannot exist in the company of light. This powerful truth is rooted in Scripture and can inspire you to press on, even when you feel overwhelmed by your challenges.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

– John 1:5 ESV

Even when darkness seems to surround you, the light of Christ is always present, shining brightly. When you accept Christ as your Savior, darkness does not disappear, but the light of Christ pushes any darkness away through your prayer and faith in Him.

It can be easy to feel discouraged when you see and feel the darkness. Still, you must remember that darkness is no match for God’s power and protection. As you seek to follow Him and walk in His ways, you can be confident He will guide you through the darkest times.

No matter how deep the darkness may seem, it cannot extinguish His light.

As a believer, you are called to be a light in the world, just as Christ is the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). You are created to shine brightly, to share the hope and love of Christ with those around you and to push back against the darkness that seeks to overtake you. Be confident knowing you, through God’s Word, have complete authority over any darkness.

The written Word of God carries power and authority that is absolute. After each temptation Satan used against Him, Jesus said, “It is written.” So, when you feel darkness creeping in, use the Word of God, speak Scripture out loud and believe in the Lord’s protection.

Embrace the light of Christ and allow His presence to shine through you. Remember that no matter how dark the darkness may seem, the light of Christ is always present and will never be overcome. May you find comfort and strength in this truth and be a beacon of hope and light for others around you.
