Incredible Power with Tasha Layton

Tasha Layton shared with Family Life Radio her thoughts on Easter. She says she gets excited about that resurrection power.

If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

– Romans 8:11 ESV

Tasha repeated the question, “What Easter means to me?” She smiled and said, “The same resurrection power that resurrected Jesus from the dead, lives inside of me. If God is inside of me, that same power resides in me. What do I have to be afraid of? What do I ever have to worry about? Because He can do all things. He can do anything through me that He’s called me to do. And so I think when I think of Easter, I get excited for that resurrection power.”

The incredible power of the Holy Spirit is alive in you.

Do you get excited about resurrection power? That life-giving force is coursing through your body even now, if you are a child of God. The incredible power of the Holy Spirit is alive in you.

When you feel weak or uncertain, you can drink from the courage of the Holy Spirit, knowing the Spirit within you is far more powerful than any challenge in front of you. You have a new life in Christ – a life that is not limited by your physical body, but instead you are sustained by the life-giving presence of the Spirit.

You are never alone. Whatever God invites you to do, you have the power from the Holy Spirit at work in you to do it.

Today’s One Thing

Take time today in God’s Word and in prayer to cultivate a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit, inviting Him to take control of your thoughts, your words and your actions. Pause throughout your day and allow the Spirit to guide and empower you to live a life that brings glory to God.
