Know the Source

Think about a reliable friend who you trust without any doubts. What did they do to instill that trust in you? Give God the praise and appreciation for your friend, and praise God for the faith and hope you have in this person. Relationships are essential and one of God’s gifts to you. Tell God, “Thank you.” Friends are important.

Now consider that the trust you have in your friend is a small but significant example of the faith and trust you can have in God.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
– Romans 15:13 ESV

God’s Word is filled with promises kept and promises in process. When you surrender your life to the Lord, He is faithful to forgive you of your sins and to lift your spiritual and emotional well-being to a new, clean and improved life level that helps brighten your day and gives you hope for the future. He is the only One who can do this. No one else, substance, food or drink, can provide you with the hope you deserve.

Surrounding yourself with faith-filled, positive people and the content from Family Life Radio helps to provide hope and reminds you of God’s intentional promises. Ultimately, the source of hope and reminder of the freedom God has given you resides in the Bible. The book of Hebrews shares, “The Word of God is living and active …” (4:12, ESV). Reading God’s Word and praying through Scripture enriches your soul and provides hope.

The Bible is the ultimate source of truth, hope, faith, love and guidance.

God’s promises are of high regard and foundational as you journey through your daily walk with Him. You can be a light to your colleagues, friends and neighbors – the world. The Good News is that you know the source, and God will fill you with joy and peace, especially when you read the Bible and pray.

Your friendships are important, and your relationship with God can be bigger and stronger when you spend time reading and praying through the living and active Word.

Today’s One Thing
Pray: Father, thank you for your Word that is living and active and growing my life to become more vibrant. Thank you for allowing me to have friends who You have shown to be faithful and trustworthy. I submit myself to You. You are the Great I Am, and I trust You. Take my concerns and worries, and build my belief that You have already taken care of these issues. Teach me Your ways and give me ears to listen to You and grow. Thank You for Jesus and Your eternal blessings. Amen.
