Let Faith Answer the Door

When fear knocks on the door of your heart, does faith answer? Fear is a spirit that can paralyze you, making mountains out of molehills. But here’s something to hold onto: faith, small as a mustard seed, can move those mountains.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

– Isaiah 41:10 ESV

When was the last time you found yourself in a situation that tested your faith, where fear and worry overshadow every thought? In these moments, God encourages you not to be afraid. He is with you. Picture God, in all His majesty and power, holding your hand, saying, “I’ve got you.” When you internalize this truth, say “Jesus,” and fear will start to lose its grip. This isn’t about denying the presence of fear but acknowledging a greater presence – God’s.

Your faith grows in times of fear and uncertainty when you trust God.

Faith, like any muscle within your body, must be used. Every challenge you face is an opportunity to exercise your faith and trust in God. It’s in the uncertain, the unknown, that your faith grows. When you can’t see the path ahead, faith believes that God is leading the way. God asks you to trust in His extraordinary character, power and authority.

Take a moment and reflect on how God has been faithful in your life. Let your memories become the building blocks of your faith. Every time you recall His faithfulness, your trust in Him deepens and fear loses its hold. It’s in these moments of remembrance and thanksgiving that your faith is nurtured and strengthened. Now, trust in Him and let faith answer the door of your heart when fear knocks.

Today’s One Thing

As you reflect and give thanksgiving to God, affirm aloud: “I choose faith over fear; I will trust in God’s promises and His presence. I am not alone. He is with me.”
