Make Today Count

Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, “Do not think to yourself that in the king’s palace you will escape any more than all the other Jews. For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Make Today Count

Today counts! What you choose to do today is really what Intentional Living is all about. So many times, we think that we can’t make a difference or we don’t have the time to help, when the whole time God is calling us out just like Mordecai called out his niece, Esther, in our verses today.

Esther knew that going to the king without an invitation could mean death. It would have been easy to do nothing, but Mordecai expected her to take advantage of the position God had given her with the king. No doubt, Mordecai surprised her when he strongly suggested that she may have been born just to do this ONE THING. He pushed Esther to make today count, and she did.

Are you in a place God wants to use you? Refuse to allow the things of the past or the uncertainties of the future to take you captive today. As you step out in faith, expect to experience God’s intentional freedom and love.

Today’s One Thing

What have you thought about lately that you should do to encourage or help someone else? Perhaps you’ve been too busy to act. Make it a priority to do that thing in your heart today. Only God knows the impact your obedience will have.
