Remember Jesus Every Day
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
─ Romans 8:18
Throughout the calendar year we commemorate significant days. We recount the loss and sacrifice made by those who lost their lives and loved ones on 9/11. We pause to remember those who gave their lives for our freedoms on Memorial Day. We remember our mothers on Mother’s Day and our father’s on Father’s Day. We celebrate Grandparents’ Day and individual family members birthdays. We naturally celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas.
Jesus came so that we could have a personal relationship with Him and with the Father. As believers, we need to keep the memory of Jesus, and the sacrifice He made, before us daily. He traded places with us – gave His life for ours – so we could know God personally and live all of our days on earth and eternally in Heaven in relationship with Him. His sacrifice was great. He yielded His life unto death and rose to life on the third day.
Today’s One Thing
How do you remember Jesus? Take time today to humbly submit to God’s purpose and plan for your life, according to His Word.
