Seeing God’s Purpose in Your Life

Do you have ideas and passions hanging out on the sidelines – meaning, do you have dreams not playing on the field of life, just merely thoughts? If so, picture this – you’re standing at the altar of vision, and God’s handing you a front-row seat to the most epic show of your life.

And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.”

– Habakkuk 2:2 ESV

God tells Habakkuk to jot down the vision in plain sight. Why? So, Habakkuk and others can constantly see the visionary plan. Writing down your vision gives life to those wild dreams and credibility to the Holy Spirit.

God invites you to dream big and glimpse into what He has in store for you. Your vision is a collaboration with the Creator of the universe. How cool is that?

Now, imagine your vision is like a package wrapped up and waiting to be delivered. And here’s the thing: “For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay” (Habakkuk 2:3 ESV). Patience is your superpower. Every step you take and every setback you face is part of the journey to unwrap your fantastic package.

Collaboration with God helps you to see His purpose and ambitions for you.

Do you have a dream that tugs at your heart? Don’t brush it off as wishful thinking. God knows you better than anyone, and those desires in your heart are like breadcrumbs leading you to your purpose.

While your exciting collaboration with God will give you the finish line objective, there might be twists and turns that He wants you to experience. So, be patient and remain focused on God.

Today’s One Thing

Grab a comfy spot, a pen and some paper. Take a moment to bring your passions from the sidelines to the Lord. Write down your ideas, those audacious dreams and let God nudge you as you jot them down. This is collaboration with the Holy Spirit, crafting a roadmap to your destiny.
