Seeing Through the Lens of Jesus

Life can be a whirlwind of emotions, challenges and questions. In the midst of it all, how do you keep your focus on Jesus?

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the life that I now live in my body, I live by faith, indeed, by the faithfulness of God’s Son, who loved me and gave himself for me.

– Galatians 2:20 CEB

Bart Millard of Mercy Me shared something that might resonate with you: “I think the idea or the fact that Christ is in us should come naturally, so that we start looking through the lens of Jesus through the crazy stuff [in life].”

Seeing life through the lens of Jesus comes as naturally as breathing because Christ is a part of you, and you are a part of Him.

When Christ lives in you, your perspective changes. You start to see challenges as opportunities for growth and trials as moments to lean into God’s grace. It’s not about ignoring the difficulties, but instead, seeing them through the lens of Jesus. And sometimes, like Bart said, it comes as naturally as breathing because Christ is a part of you, and you are a part of Him.

But what if it doesn’t feel natural? What if you’re struggling to see God’s hand in your life right now? That’s okay. The key is to continue to pray and keep your heart open to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. It’s natural to experience some doubt or confusion, but what matters most is that you keep walking with Him.

Today’s One Thing

Say aloud, “I am crucified with Christ, and He lives in me. My life is not my own; it is a testimony of God’s grace and love. I choose to see my circumstances through the lens of Jesus, trusting that He is working all things together for my good.”
