Sow His Good Abundantly

Every day you sow seeds and prepare for a harvest. Check your basket and see what seeds you are planting today. Do you possess the seeds of kind words, loving remarks and positive accolades, or do you carry seeds of bitterness, jealousy, distrust and envy? You are a sower of the seeds you toss and the messages you communicate.

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.
– Galatians 6:7 ESV

The Bible contains many teachings regarding sowing and reaping. Sowing and reaping is a natural and spiritual law. Your harvest depends on the seeds you have sown. If you sow good and positive things, you will reap good and positive things in return. Likewise, negative things you plant also produce in kind. Your harvest may take a bit of time, but the seeds planted will grow.

Sow seeds of encouragement by sharing kind words that build others up and motivate them to seek Christ and love others.

It is important to consider what you are sowing and how much you are sowing before you let the seeds go. You can sow financially into someone’s life, or you can sow encouragement and motivation into your colleague or friend’s life. You can sow God’s Word into a seeking person — remembering that God is the source when you trust and rely upon Him to direct your steps.

When you sow remember to plant in obedience to the Lord. Ultimately, God is the source for you to gather His word (seeds) and plant those seeds abundantly without hesitation.

Today’s One Thing
Seek the Lord and ask Him to help you distribute the seeds from the Holy Spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
