The Bible – Living Words
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
─ 2 Timothy 3:16 NLT
Charles Spurgeon said, “A Bible that’s falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn’t.” Jesus came to give us life. It starts with a change from within. Your inner man – the real you – is a spirit. When we accept Christ, we are new creatures, living our lives from the inside out. Our spirit leads and guides us, directing our thoughts, decisions and emotions.
The Bible is not just a book of stories of lives lived long ago. It’s the supernatural, living Word of God. God inspired the writers to write His truth. The message is authentic and reliable.
The Word of God speaks to our spirits. That’s why we can read a scripture and understand it to mean something for our lives one day, and then read it again another day and it can reveal an even deeper meaning. “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right” (2 Timothy 3:16).
The Bible is not just to increase our knowledge so that we can demonstrate what we know, but a gift from God to help us become confident in our faith.
