The Unforgettable Life

Jesus lived an unforgettable life. It wasn’t an easy life. He stood out and stood up. He followed the path few were willing to take. But He lived each day following the plan God had purposed for His life.

Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

Jesus let His life and light shine from usual places. He performed His first miracle at a wedding, turning water into wine. He invited His disciples to follow Him from the shores of Galilee, where they made their living fishing. Jesus healed a lame man after friends opened the roof of a home and lowered him down to Jesus while He was teaching. He willingly did things differently in order to see lives changed and His Father glorified.

Jesus wants you to live an unforgettable life.

Those who witnessed Jesus’ earthly ministry experienced unforgettable moments in their lives. Jesus chose each day, each moment to do and say only what the Heavenly Father asked of Him. He set an example for each of us to follow and offers an open invitation to everyone who is willing to accept it.

Jesus wants you to live an unforgettable life – not an easy or comfortable life. He desires to see your light shine so that others may see Him and know the Father through you. No one forgets a radically generous and compassionate person. Will you choose to be unforgettable by doing what God asks of you?
