The Waiting Period with Jordan St. Cyr

You can be between “the miracle and the not yet” and find hope in God’s presence.

The sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
– Romans 8:18 ESV

Jordan St. Cyr, contemporary Christian singer, songwriter and storyteller, called the time between what he hopes and prays for and the answer or healing that is yet to come, “the waiting period.” He is waiting as he faces the challenges of his daughter’s Sturge-Weber syndrome diagnosis.

Jordan prays for a miracle while acknowledging that it may only come in the next life for his young daughter.

When you place your neediness in Him, you find that you are going to be okay.

Jordan said, “If you are in a season of life, know that it is a season. It too shall pass. God has made you for right now. He hasn’t made you for tomorrow, and He hasn’t made you for yesterday. That is God’s territory. He is the only one who can bear that weight.”
By embracing your current season, you can find strength and endurance as you allow God to shoulder the weight. All the while, you can be certain He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

“We allow God to be who He says He is.” Jordan explained, “By doing that, we allow ourselves to be human. We allow ourselves to be needy. And when we place our neediness in Him, we find that we’re going to be okay.”

Are you in a waiting period today? Will you choose to live one day at a time and trust what the future holds to God? Will you surrender to God and trust His timing?

Today’s One Thing
Talk to God through prayer and give Him what you have been carrying. Release it to God and let Him know you trust His more than capable hands.
