Touch Jesus with Your Faith

Imagine you had a big problem, and you knew of someone who could give you just what you desperately needed to make things right in your life again, but you couldn’t seem to get to him.

“Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
─ Mark 5:34 NKJV

Perhaps that’s exactly how the woman with the issue of blood felt (Mark 5:25-24). For 12 years she suffered. She did everything she knew to do to get back to normal, or at least attain a new normal. She spent all of her money on doctors and none of them were able to help her. She heard about Jesus, but in her current state of health, she wasn’t sure how to reach him. She knew if she could just get close enough to touch him, she would be completely restored to health.

Jesus wants to congratulate you for your great faith.

Jesus knew the moment power left Him, and He asked, “Who touched me?” The woman knew exactly what had happened to her. And she came to Him and told Him the whole truth.

He knew exactly who had touched Him, and He knew she was healed. He wasn’t trying to embarrass her or chastise her with His question. He wanted to exalt and congratulate her for the great faith she had demonstrated.
