May Creative Space with United Adoration – Livonia

Do you have limited time to write songs, dance or create visual art? Do you want to try, but you don’t know how to start? Come and learn how to connect with God by writing songs, dancing and creating visual art in a relaxing, community environment!
United Adoration leaders, Natalie K. Ziemba (Visual Art Leader), Tessa Patterson (Songwriting Leader) and Amy Smith (Flags/Dance Leader) are hosting an Open Studio Time on Saturday, May 11.
We are inviting Christian creatives across the southeast Michigan region, from all church backgrounds and artistic experience levels, to enjoy God through community and creative expression.
Optional Registration Costs:
$5 – songwriters, flag/dancers, and visual artists who bring their own art supplies
$20 – use our provided visual art supplies
Doors open at 11:00 a.m. to facilitate time for you to connect with fellow creative Christians. At 11:30 a.m., we will lead a creative activity that helps spark your imagination and connection with God and scripture. Then you will have free time to create. Bring snacks/lunch food. Coffee, tea, and some snacks will be provided.
This event is focused on gathering adults for fellowship (ages 16+). Ages 10 – 15 are free to register alongside a creative adult. Guests are welcome to come and go as they please.
Songwriters: there are multiple pianos throughout the building that are available for you to use. You will have access to various rooms throughout the church to create on your own or with others.
Visual Art Supplies Available: For $20, you will receive one canvas (your choice of 5×7, 11×14, or 16×20). We have acrylic paints, brushes, watercolor paper, colored pencils, oil pastels, chalk pastels, crayons, and a limited supply of watercolor paint for use, plus 10 easels that are adjustable for the floor or tabletop.
Dance / Flags: You are encouraged to bring your own supplies. However, there will be some basic Flags available for use.
