Multi-Art Retreat with United Adoration – Livonia

The event will go from 5pm – 8:30pm on Friday. Then resume from 8:30am – 4pm on Saturday. If you are an out-of-town guest, email us to inquire on housing opportunities.

Provided with Registration:

– Friday Evening dinner, Saturday breakfast snacks, lunch, and afternoon snacks. Tea & coffee throughout the days. We work to accommodate dietary needs such as gluten / dairy free (you can share information on dietary needs in your registration)

– An “Inspiration Packet” filled with scripture verses, artwork, hymns and prayers based on the theme “Rescue.”

– Songwriters: there are multiple pianos throughout the building that are available for you to use. You will have access to various rooms throughout the church to create on your own or with others

– Visual Art Supplies: You will receive one large canvas of your choice (11×14, 16×20 or 18×24) and one small canvas (5×7 etc.). We have acrylic paints, brushes, watercolor paper, colored pencils, oil pastels, chalk pastels, crayons, and a limited supply of watercolor paint for use, plus 10 easels that are adjustable for the floor or tabletop.

– Dance/Flags: You are encouraged to bring your own supplies, however we will have some basic flags available for use.

Q: United Adoration hosts monthly, one-day Detroit Creative Spaces. What is the difference between “Creative Spaces” and a two-day “Multi-Arts Retreat?”

A: Retreats are a guided journey through scripture, prayer and your creative process. Our mealtimes provide space to make new friends, have meaningful conversations and build artistic community. Retreats are an opportunity to have extended personal space with Jesus. In this time, you can create or receive prayer, journal, and talk about what God is doing in your life with fellow artists. Our Leaders are available to serve your needs. The most beloved part of the Retreat is our “Creative Share” at the end. This is a “time of celebration” where we all share our creative expression and testimonies of what God did in you over the weekend.

LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: United Adoration is providing opportunities for attendees of 2 Day Retreats to become “Trained Retreat Leaders.” Attending the 2-Day Retreat is a pre-requisite to Leadership Training. If you ONLY attend a One-Day Creative Space it does not qualify you for the Training.
