There’s a saying, “The song remembers when … ”
Alisha of Michigan first discovered Family Life Radio while in recovery from heroin addiction.
“Back then, your music was basically my saving grace,” she said. “The songs kept me where I needed to be just to survive. It’s like I was living out a death script, and your music kept me from slipping into the darkness.”
As Alisha worked through her recovery, God continued to speak to her through Family Life Radio.
No longer a song of survival — but a song of joy!
The encouraging lyrics and soul-soothing music you help make possible through Family Life Radio, filled Alisha with the strength she needed to push through the pain and the temptation.
“Today, I’ve been clean six years,” the young mother shared. “I always have your station on in my car, and in our house, it’s always on in the background. It keeps me centered. Nowadays, it’s a different song I hear — not a song of survival but a song of joy!”

“I normally work in a restaurant industry, but I was laid off during COVID,” Alisha said. “Being home with my kids for over a year gave me a lot of time to just sit down and quiet my mind, to be in communion with God and to listen to Him.
Alisha shared, “Music speaks to me in different ways. Now, I'm able to relax into who God has called me to be. It’s more about helping me move forward instead of just surviving and staying where I was. Family Life Radio has played a huge part in that.”
A harmonious home and an upbeat future
Today, thanks to the direction Alisha has received through Family Life Radio, God is leading her down a new path!
“Recently, I turned in my resignation at the restaurant,” Alisha shared. “I'm going to be stepping away from the field, going back to school, and just spending more time at home with my kids.”
Alisha may not know what the future holds, but she trusts God does. She says, “I love this season of my life. What a joyful song it is!”
Thank you for the hope and peace you help send out through Family Life Radio that brings hearts and souls, like Alisha’s, closer to God every day. Thank you!

Rose Liggon of New Mexico was one of our Home for the Holidays grand prize winners!
In October, our listeners had the chance to win a holiday trip through the Home for the Holidays contest.*
Daily winners received a Family Life Radio Travel Pack (a sling bag, hand sanitizer, snacks and more) to add a little comfort to their next vacation. Then they were entered into the Grand Prize drawing: one of three $500 airline travel vouchers. Winners could use the voucher to either go home for the holidays or fly someone special to them.
“I kept calling and I finally got through,” said Rose said. “When I found out I won, I said, ‘Oh my goodness! This is truly amazing!’”
Rose Liggon of Albuquerque, New Mexico used her travel voucher to bless someone who needed a little joy in their life … During COVID, Rose’s daughter, Danielle, moved in with her, moving from Los Angeles to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Shortly after the move, Danielle’s childhood best friend, Lisa, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Lisa was alone in California with no family to support her during this crisis. So, Rose flew Lisa to Albuquerque for the holidays to rest, relax and spend time with Danielle.
The love, encouragement and support Family Life Radio is able to share with our communities is only possible thanks to you and others who support us so generously. Thank you!
* Contest funds were provided by a ministry champion.
What ‘One Thing’ could you do today — because that’s what intentional living is all about — to have a better marriage, a closer relationship with your spouse? To really grow in depth and intimacy and to have a better life in Christ?
Maybe it’s committing to pray for them. Or being less critical. Perhaps it’s planning a weekly date night. Or simply being more thankful and appreciative.
As we celebrate Valentine’s Day, I challenge you to throw out a commitment, “Hey, for the next 30 days this is what God has impressed upon my heart. This is ‘One Thing’ that I can do to have that better, closer, more intimate relationship, and to be more intentional in my marriage.”
A good starting place to solidify that commitment is the “The One Thing Challenge” a short, 4-part video series. Check it out!
Yet, Jesus reminds us to, “Take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
“In our house, Family Life Radio is always on in the background. It keeps me centered.
