Press Release: November 1, 2023 – Family Life Radio 93.1 FM to Host Launch Event with the Newsboys

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TUCSON, AZ (November 1, 2023) —Grammy nominated Christian music band the Newsboys will perform in Sterling Heights at a special event hosted by Family Life Radio (FLR). The event is to celebrate the recent launch of FLR’s newest Michigan signal, 93.1 FM WUFL in metro Detroit.

Tickets are on sale now for the event that will take place on Tuesday, November 14 at 7 p.m. at Bethesda Christian Church, 14000 Metro Parkway, Sterling Heights, MI 48312. Concert goers can expect to hear the Newsboys top hits including “We Believe,” “Born Again” and “God’s Not Dead.”

“We invite the metro Detroit community to join us for our Family Life Radio Launch concert! We are thrilled to have the Newsboys, a listener favorite, with us for the night” said Mike Kankelfritz, Chief Broadcast Engagement Officer for FLR.

Michael Tait, lead singer for the Newsboys, shared, “We absolutely love Detroit and our friends at Family Life Radio, and we’re so excited to celebrate with everyone! The show we’re putting on right now is my favorite show we’ve created in 14 years together, and we can’t wait to bring Sterling Heights an evening of worship!”

FLR had previously been in metro Detroit for 35 years and as of August 1, can now be heard on 93.1 FM WUFL. FLR has seven other signals in Michigan: Albion (96.7 FM), Battle Creek (101.1 FM and AM 1400), Lansing (99.9 FM), Mason (AM 1110) and Midland (99.7 FM).
