Discovering God’s Word with Austin French
Talking about Psalm 119:105, Contemporary Christian artist Austin French says, “That’s not just something we put on our walls from Hobby Lobby. Right? This is legit. If you want direction in life, you’re not going to find it trying harder. You’re not going to get clean by pure sobriety. You are going to find direction and everything you need in the Word of God.”
Speaking with Family Life Radio, Austin said, “It’s not just sharing things on Instagram or some inspirational poem by a pastor. Your pastor’s faith won’t save you. Your faith – you work it out with fear and trembling.”
Your relationship with God is personal and essential. It’s critical to realize it’s not enough to rely on the faith of others; you must cultivate your own faith through intimate connection with Him.
Austin continues, “And if you lean into the Word of God, you will find everything you need, whether it’s strength for the day, direction in life, wisdom for the career or chains to be broken and set free in your life.”
When facing struggles and challenges, Austin pointed to the liberating truth found in Scripture, declaring, “If you replace the lies of the enemy with the truth of God, the power of God will set you free from anything you bring to the table.”
Scripture has the power to break the chains of addiction, negative thought patterns and past hurts, leading you into a life of freedom and abundance (See Jesus’ words in John 8:32).
Living with intention requires surrendering to God’s plan and trusting His guidance.
Austin advises, “If you want direction in life, you’re not going to find it trying harder.”
Instead of striving in your own strength, surrender to God’s leading and allow His Word to shape your decisions and actions. Incorporate Scripture into your daily life through journaling, memorization, and meditation, allowing it to permeate every aspect of your being.
As you embark on this journey of discovery, remember that you are not alone. God promises to be with you every step of the way, guiding you with His unfailing love and wisdom. Anchor yourself in His Word, drawing strength, guidance and inspiration from its timeless truths.
