Thanks to all who participated in Family Life Radio’s annual Ice Cream Cruise. This year, Family Life Radio hosted events at eight ice cream parlors throughout Michigan.

Q: Family is important. How has yours encouraged you in your ministry?
Luke: “Pretty enormously, really.”
Joel: “Rebecca, our eldest sister, is an artist, Rebecca St. James, and we sort of grew up as her road crew. Dad, who managed her, and who manages us, needed cheap labor, so he hired us. Mom has always been kind of the spiritual glue of the family. Our parents have had massive impact, all the way down to for KING & COUNTRY existing, because Dad had the idea of Luke and I working together, and I didn’t like it initially.”
Luke: “Are you thankful now?”
Joel: “I am thankful now.”

brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone, who immigrated to the United States as children,
settling in the Nashville area.

Angela is a long-time Family Life Radio listener who called in to share her story about living an intentional life …
“We’d been doing Bible study as a family, hit and miss,” she shared.
“Some nights we would, some nights we wouldn’t, just being a super busy family. My kids are all in different sports, plus school and homework, and there’s just not a lot of time left.”
Angela’s ONE THING
“One day, after listening to Intentional Living with Dr. Randy Carlson, I thought, We’re busy doing all these things; we’re just not doing important things. So I made a promise to God I was going to be intentional about doing Bible study every night as a family.”
“We started doing just that,” she said. “Some nights it lasts only five minutes. Other nights, we’ll get into a discussion, and it will last an hour!”
YOU are helping raise up families who live intentionally for God. “We’ve been doing intentional Bible study for about two years now,” Angela said.

“The most amazing part is all of my children have accepted Christ,” she said. “They’ve all been baptized, and my kids are heaven bound. They accepted Christ right in our home — during family Bible study!”
“Before, I was leaving it up to the church to lead my kids to Christ,” Angela shared. “But we only go Sunday mornings. If we didn’t make this decision to be intentional to do our Bible study together as a family, that might not have happened. I’m so thankful for Family Life Radio!”

“My dad is in the hospital undergoing tests to determine what is wrong. He is a life-long servant of God and has a rapid onset of physical and cognitive problems. We are all saddened by this, especially my mom. They have been married for 63 years. Please pray.”

Answered prayer for God’s favor in getting air conditioning fixed. Needed for special needs daughter who is sensitive to heat. Be blessed. Thank you

Answered prayer for my son; he was in the hospital with stomach pain. They said he had diverticulitis. He was treated with antibiotics and released in two days. He says he is having pain again and thinking of going back to the hospital. Please pray God’s will of healing. Thank you.

Answered prayer for my brother-in-law and his family. He has colon cancer and been on chemo for two years now. They found a spot of something on his neck with a recent PET scan and did a biopsy earlier this week. Family and friends are hoping and praying that it is not cancer in the lymph.

Answered prayer for my aunt, that she would be comforted by the Lord. Her 26-year-old grandson passed away unexpectedly. I am not sure if he knew the Lord.

Update…Forrest doing great. Is now home.
Update on three-year-old Forrest … Just got the ok for Forrest to have food. If that goes well maybe discharge later today. No fever through the night and distention is less per his mom, Jessie.
Prayers for Forrest, a three-year-old who went in for hernia surgery. This is one of the twins we prayed for who had surgery in-utero and was born at 28 weeks. The surgeon nicked a blood vessel and the small intestine in two spots. Prayers for complete healing.

Answered prayer for my brother’s child. His his wife gave birth to their first child. Baby Leo has PKU and is in the hospital. It could make Leo have mental retardation. My brother and sister- in- law are unsaved.

Answered prayers for a woman in ICU because her kidneys have a bad infection, and the infection made its way into the blood stream. I need prayer warriors to join me in praying for her (and her family).

“I want to tell you the story behind my song, ‘Help is on the Way (Maybe Midnight)’” Toby began.
“A year and a half ago, I lost my firstborn son,” he said.
“It was hard. It was difficult to think about anything, any promise, anything exciting.”
“During that time, I wrote a lot of songs that were kind of down. Deep in the trenches. And then this pandemic hit. I cried out to God, ‘Please, I need something I can hold onto.’”
“I found in the Psalms a scripture that said something about God is rolling up His sleeves, and that help is on the way, (Psalm 8). It was like a promise from God — that the God of all creation was rolling up his sleeves on my behalf.”
“That’s when I wrote: He’s never early. He’s never late. Help is on the way.”
“God has not failed me, and He has not failed you either,” Toby said.
“I hope this song encourages you.”
