Does God See Me?
Many of us grapple with the question: “Does God see my struggles? Is He being fair?” These are honest and important questions. The prophet Isaiah asked the same questions and then went on to share with us how God’s unwavering presence and strength meet us in our moments of doubt and exhaustion.
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
— Isaiah 40:31 ESV
In Isaiah 40, the prophet addresses Israel, a nation feeling abandoned and overwhelmed. They questioned if God was aware of their troubles and if He cared. Isaiah responds with a powerful reminder: God, the Creator of the farthest parts of the earth, never grows faint or weary. His understanding is beyond our grasp, and He is always aware of our situations.
God’s perception of fairness is different from ours. While we might see fairness as an immediate resolution to our problems, God sees the bigger picture. He promises to provide strength and power to the tired and worn out. His support might not always align with our timing or expectations, but it is always perfect and sufficient.
See God’s compassion today in His promise to renew our strength as we wait on Him.
Even the strongest among us can feel exhausted and ready to give up. Yet, Isaiah provides a promise that is both comforting and empowering: those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. This waiting is not about idleness; it’s about active trust and hopeful expectation in God’s faithfulness.
Think of an eagle soaring high in the sky, effortlessly gliding above the earth, illustrating how God’s strength allows us to rise above our challenges. By waiting on Him, we gain the resilience to run without growing weary and to walk without fainting, no matter how daunting the journey.
Today’s One Thing
Pray: “Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart full of questions and weariness. I sometimes feel unseen and wonder about Your fairness. Help me to trust in Your perfect understanding and timing. Renew my strength as I wait on You and lift me up like an eagle to soar above my challenges. May I find rest and resilience in Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
