The Benefits of Adoption

Faith in Christ means you have a great inheritance through your adoption into the family of God.

In love He predestined us for adoption as sons [and daughters] through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will. 

Ephesians 1:5 ESV

A few examples of adoption in the Bible you can read about are Moses (Exodus 2:5-10), Esther (Esther 2:7) and Hadad, the Edomite, who fled to Egypt as a boy and was raised by the Pharoah (I Kings 11:17-19). God used each of these adoptions to accomplish His plans. 

The greatest example of adoption is as a believer in Christ Jesus, you have been adopted and are considered a son or daughter of the King of kings and Lord of lords.

God provides all you need through your adoption into His family!

Because of your adoption into God’s family through faith in Christ, you have access to the Spirit of wisdom and knowledge of Him. You have access to the power that raised Christ from the dead. You have hope and the riches of His glorious inheritance (Ephesians 1:17 – 20). And this is only the beginning! You have forgiveness of sins and the strength to face tomorrow.

When you feel like you are lacking what you need to get through this season, read God’s Word about what is already yours. That alone, will begin to fill you with hope.
