Kankelfritz Launches New Family Life Radio Afternoon Show

TUCSON, AZ (March 1, 2018) — Family Life Radio’s (FLR) newest team member and long-time Christian radio personality, Mike Kankelfritz, will begin his brand new show on March 12 as part of the new FLR program schedule.

Airing over the afternoon drive time, beginning at 2pm PT/5pm ET, Kankelfritz’s new show will “be fun, serious and everything in between,” he says. “I want to laugh and celebrate with you when times are good and encourage you when you’re feeling down.”

He’ll help listeners on the journey toward living intentional lives in Christ, and he’s offered an open invitation to listeners to call the studio and share their stories with him.

“I love to interact with listeners,” says Kankelfritz. “I live my life on the radio and share everything from victories to the failures, as well as what it’s like to parent a child diagnosed with special needs.”

With the addition of Kankelfritz’s new show, the FLR program schedule will undergo a few changes. Favorite show hosts will continue to help listeners experience hope at new times.

• Peter & Shannyn in the Mornings will begin at 3am PT/6am ET
• Middays with Julia Taylor will begin at 9am PT/12pm ET
• Bill Ronning will be on in the evenings and begin at 8pm PT/9pm ET

Kankelfritz also serves as the FLR Program Director. He recently joined the FLR team and will be participating in events in addition to launching his new show.

Kankelfritz, his wife Becky and their two children have recently relocated to Tucson, Ariz. He is a graduate of John Brown University and has more than 28 years of experience in radio. He got his start on country, rock and light rock stations before following God’s lead into Christian radio. Most recently he served as the morning show co-host on K-LOVE from 2011 to November of last year. Prior to that, he hosted morning shows on KSBJ in Houston and KXOJ in Tulsa.
