I’ve loved music for as long as I can remember. I was raised in a Christian home, and faith was a big part of my life. When I began writing songs, it seemed only natural that I write about what I believed.
To this day, my music has been a way that I’ve worked out and wrestled with what it means to follow Jesus.
“Dream Small” will always be one of my favorites because it’s autobiographical. The first verse is about my wife and son. The second verse is about my grandfather, who was a pastor at a church in Arkansas for almost 40 years. Verse three is about the ways my family tried to plug in and serve our community.
